ABSTRACT: Strategies for Integrating Sustainability Practices into Vocational Training explore approaches to incorporating environmental sustainability principles into vocational education curricula and practices. This study aims to promote sustainable development skills among vocational students to meet global environmental challenges. The objectives were: to assess the current integration of sustainability practices in vocational training programs, to evaluate the impact of sustainability education on student awareness and behavior, and to propose strategies for enhancing sustainability integration in vocational education. A survey design was chosen to gather detailed data from educators, students, and industry representatives, providing insights into current practices and challenges in sustainability education. A sample size of 300 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique to include participants with experience in sustainability initiatives in vocational education. The case study focused on the Kwara State College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi, Kwara State. Findings indicated varying levels of sustainability integration across vocational programs, with significant benefits in raising student awareness and fostering environmentally responsible practices. It was recommended that vocational institutions should develop interdisciplinary sustainability modules, forge partnerships with environmental organizations, and incorporate sustainable practices into vocational workshops and projects to prepare students for eco-friendly careers and contribute to sustainable development goals.
